32 bit Serial Computer - Timing, Clock Signals and some other "stuff"
The heart of any Computer are "the Ticker", the part that makes all things happens in an orderly manner.
This 32 bit Serial Computer, or what I call it : "The Monster", uses the same basic "ticker" as all other 8080 project on this web site.
There is also an another, more complicated, part working in tandom with the basic ticker to make it possible to shift data back and forth and I will try to describe them both here.
First, let's start with the basic ticker, or as its correct technical name is : T-Cycle Generator
To join the Homebuilt CPUs ring, drop Warren a line, mentioning your page's URL. He'll then add it to the list.
You will need to copy this code fragment into your page (or reference it.)
Note: The ring is chartered for projects that include a home-built CPU. It can emulate a commercial part, that′s OK.
But actually using that commercial CPU doesn′t rate. Likewise, the project must have been at least partially built: pure paper designs don′t rate either.
It can be built using any technology you like, from relays to FPGAs.
